Publicly-Funded Pre-Kindergarten Education

Windham Southeast Supervisory Union announces that school districts in the towns of Brattleboro, Dummerston, Guilford, Putney, and Vernon will offer funding for 10 hours per week of pre-kindergarten education for 3-5 year olds in community-based preschools that contract with their local school districts. Pre-kindergarten education is designed to provide young children with developmentally appropriate early learning experiences based on Vermont’s Early Learning Standards. In the 2017-18 school year, 240 children in the WSESU towns used public pre-k funding to attend 18 different preschools that have partnership contracts with a WSESU school district.
