Early Education

Windham Southeast Supervisory Union has been providing early education and early childhood special education services to young children and their families for over thirty years. Starting in 1987 with a small grant from the former Brattleboro Town School District to provide home visiting to parents of children birth to age three, we have grown to encompass
  • Pre-k partnerships
  • Early Childhood Special Education serving children with delays and disabilities ages 3 up until kindergarten
  • Head Start, Early Head Start, and Parent-Child Center through Early Education Services,
  • Preschool classrooms at Guilford Central School, Oak Grove School, and Putney Central School
We believe that each and every young child has the potential to thrive at home, in school, and in community life. We know that all young children need nurturing relationships with adults and supportive environments at home and in early education settings to be successful learners and to sustain positive interactions with peers and adults. Some children will need more targeted learning opportunities or services to help them reach their full potential, and through specialized services, family engagement, and collaboration with community partners, WSESU is committed to providing early education and support so that all children have the best start possible in school and in life
